The Vision

The Toronto Accessible Sports Council (TASC) is one of six Community Sport Councils of the Toronto Sports Council. The vision of TASC is to unite disability organizations across the city that provide sport and active living opportunities for people with physical disabilities to share resources, collaborate in program planning and delivery, and create a stronger unified voice for athletes with a disability in Toronto.

Core benefits of the TASC

  • Centralized information resource,
  • A stronger unified voice for advocacy purposes,
  • Collaborative rather than competitive programming,
  • Coordinated marketing opportunities,
  • Generally increased visibility for accessible sport in Toronto.

The TASC announced its arrival on April 30th, 2008 by hosting an accessible sports awareness event at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto. Since then, TASC partners have worked together to provide over ten new sports programs with new opportunities developing each season. Together we are seeing the many benefits that partnership and cooperation can bring and we invite you to browse these pages to learn more about how you can Join the TASC!
